Seek, Serve and Follow Christ.
Girls Brigade is a international Christian organisation that has been delivering development programmes to New Zealand girls since 1928.
The Girls' Brigade programme is four sided designed to develop girls mentally, physically, spiritually and with a heart for the community.
Each company has its own "flavour" depending on the leadership team and resources available. Just as an example during the year your girl may do some cooking, prepare for and go on a camp, find out what a missionary does and learn how to take care of various pets. Badges and certificates are earned on successfully completing the activities. Sprinkled through the year will also be various one-off "fun" activities.
At St Barnabas we have a "three for free" policy. This means your girl can come along three times before she has to decide whether she would like to become a member or not.
A Girls' Brigade Company is divided into three age sections: Juniors: 5-8 years - Tuesday afternoons Seniors: 9-12 years - Tuesday evenings Pioneers: 13-18 years - Tuesday evenings
